Abstract
412 Food Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization based out of Pittsburgh. It began as a“direct response to the disconnect between food waste, hunger and environmental sustainability”(“What We Do” 2017). 412 Food Rescue was founded in 2014 b yLeah Lizarondo, an advocatefor food, health, and access in Pittsburgh, and Gisele Fetterman, founder of The Freestore in Braddock which distributes surplus and donated goods for free.
