We hope that through the research we can understand why we need prevention programs at a distal, proximal, or intermediate level. The paper presents research and statistics behind drug and alcohol abuse in youth. And a discussion on Community-Based participatory research through a partnership with the Wilmington Police Department. The paper explores the social determinants of youth crime and how programs especially community-based programs can impact Wilmington, North Carolinas drug and alcohol abuse in youth. </span></p> ER -
